Hinchinbrook Channel
Barra fishing in the pristine waters of the Hinchinbrook Channel is a lure and live bait fisherman’s heaven. The channel waterways are largely protected from the weather making it fishable all year round. Clients can expect a wide variety of fish including Barramundi, Mangrove Jack, Salmon, Finger mark, Trevally, Queenfish, etc. Fishing charters leave from Lucinda and Cardwell.

Island and offshore Fishing
East of the Hinchinbrook Channel lies the Palm Island group which is alive with reef fish hiding in amongst the coral reef. Coral Trout and Spanish mackerel are the main fish targeted along with large Tuna at times. When the weather permits it is an action packed day because you could catch anything.

Surrounding Creeks and Estuaries
The Hinchinbrook Channel to the north and the south is surrounded by fish rich waterways which are fed directly from the open ocean.  Most of these systems are only a short drive from Lucinda making them ideal as a second option when the Hinchinbrook is not fishing well.

Missionary Bay
At the north of Hinchinbrook Island lies a large protected waterway with 9 large creeks running into it. It has large rock bars and deep holes in most creeks. Most fishing in this system is live bait fishing for Barra and Mangrove Jacks. Fishing charters to this water way leave from Cardwell at the northern end of the Hinchinbrook Channel
